Inner Suspension is about moments when a body seems caught between moving and staying still.

I look for them in small things: a gesture, a pause, a posture, eyes turned away, the way someone takes up space. These aren’t portraits of particular people. The figures are closer to presences, allowing an emotional state to be sensed without being explained.

The drawings are slow and repetitive, and that matters. A small gesture gains weight over time. Hesitating or pulling back can matter as much as acting.

What draws me is the gap between approaching and retreating, between what a person shows and what they keep back. Very little happens on the surface, but something remains unresolved underneath.
