Between Earth and Experience begins with the space between landscape, perception and memory.

A familiar landscape can bring up things that aren’t in the view: distance, stillness, belonging, absence, the sense that time has passed. I let the image develop slowly, allowing what I see and what I remember to overlap.

These works are not records of places. They try to hold onto one way of seeing, in which what I saw, what I remember and what I felt remain present at the same time.
